Surrey Services
depends on the energy and commitment of hundreds of volunteers each
year. Volunteers range in age from elementary school age to individuals
in their ninth decade. Over two-thirds of Surrey volunteers are older
people themselves; they are seniors helping other seniors.

Help deliver activities such as Surrey’s drama, antique
club, chorus, needlework and crafts, field trips,
exercise classes, and much more
|

Offer companionship and services, including daily phone
calls and reading for the visually impaired
|
-
Perform minor home repair work and light gardening
|
-
Drive Surrey members to medical appointments, the grocery
store, and do a variety of other errands
|
-
Shop for homebound members
|
-
Assist with a variety of clerical and data entry tasks at
our locations
|

Put their professional expertise and experience to work on
committees, including volunteer recruitment and
community outreach
|

Pat Slaw

Pat Slaw of Bryn Mawr, PA was honored for her volunteer work
at Surrey Services for Seniors when she received the 2007
Surrey Angel nomination at the annual Volunteer Appreciation
Lunch held on September 24th at the Desmond Hotel
in Malvern.
