Surrey’s Home Care program offers as much — or as little — care as older adults and their families require.   • Shampooing and hair care
  • Dressing and toileting
  • Walking and exercising
  • Meal preparation and feeding
  • Transportation and errands
  • Social interaction and motivation
  • Safety supervision
  • Medication reminders
  • Vacuuming, dust-mopping, and sweeping
  • Dusting of furniture and windowsills
  • Laundry
  • Changing of bed linens

 
  • General room straightening
  • Kitchen clean-up
  • Bathroom clean-up
  • Trash removal
  • Shopping
 

Members can choose from any of the listed services or feel free to speak to us about their special needs.  Individual Case Management by a Home Care Staff Nurse is available to coordinate services when necessary.  Whatever the needs, we can set up a regular program—daily, weekly or monthly, or we can step in and provide care on an as-needed basis.

We’ve even found that sometimes our members are able to take quite good care of themselves and their households, but they are fighting feelings of loneliness or depression.  Our services can be as simple as having a Surrey volunteer make a cheery phone call each morning or arranging for a companion to drop by once a week to visit, share a pot of coffee and some uplifting conversation.


Our dedicated caregivers have a genuine desire to assist older adults, and members can expect to receive kindness and respect at all times.  To ensure both safety and quality of service, potential caregivers are carefully screened, interviewed, and experienced in the special needs of older adults.  For added peace of mind, you should know that the program is supervised by a team of Home Care Nurses, and all caregivers are bonded and insured For more information about Care Management click here.

Surrey’s caregivers are available at low hourly rates. Click here for a rate schedule. However, all services can be made more affordable for those clients who demonstrate financial need.  No one is ever turned away because of an inability to pay the full amount.

Surrey Services for Seniors is an approved provider of home care service for Delaware and Chester County through the Options and Waiver Programs. This project is funded, in part, by the Chester and Delaware County Department of Aging Services and the the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.
